With nearly four decades of experience in the construction industry, Don Milbauer brings unmatched expertise and leadership to Domain Builders, the company he co-founded with Rick Craig in Houston, Texas, in 2016. After 40+ years of guiding residential, multifamily, and commercial projects across the country, Don launched Domain Builders to offer the industry a renewed, forward-thinking approach rooted in precision, integrity, and deep technical knowledge.

Under Don’s direction, Domain Builders has quickly distinguished itself in one of the nation’s most competitive construction markets. His commitment to thoughtfully executed plans, disciplined project management, and a team-first culture has allowed the company to reintroduce the values of commitment, ingenuity, and excellence to Houston’s construction landscape. Supported by a loyal and highly experienced team, Don continues to elevate industry standards through projects defined by quality and intentional craftsmanship.

Before establishing Domain Builders, Don oversaw more than $1 billion in multifamily developments spanning Texas and the East Coast—from Boston to Tampa. His work with nationally recognized firms, including JPI, Greystar Development & Construction, and The Hanover Company, equipped him with a comprehensive skillset across due diligence, design development, budgeting, scheduling, and consultant management. These experiences shaped his collaborative leadership style and his belief in empowering teams to achieve exceptional results.

Originally from New York, Don has proudly called the Greater Houston area home for the past 30 years. He has played an active role in the region’s growth and continues to invest his time and expertise into the community. As a resident of Clear Lake Shores, Don enjoys life on the water and treasures time spent boating with his wife and grandchildren.
